Amazing!!!!

I got this in an email yesterday and I knew I had to share it with you all. I can't believe this was done by a teenager!!

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa ..
For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos. (all angles) of the rock.

I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.

Here is the Artist. His name is Ray "Bubba" Sorenson.

Pass it on.

You may be only one person in the world, but
you may also be the world to one person.

That is awesome. I am truly suprised it has been left alone and not destroyed. Maybe there is some hope for respect after all!

Gosh Michelle, that is absolutely fantastic. No wonder it hasn't been touched. Who could ever destroy this "monument"! What an outstanding job, and I too thought the flag was draped across it. Thank you!

I have seen pictures of the rock before, but not of the artist. He did a fantastic job and I'm glad to see his smiling face getting the credit.

New puppy update is posted.

Thanks for your post. It's nice to meet the artist.

Bubba is quite the artist!! I am so glad no one is bothering the rock.

I wish we could thank him for his sentiment.
